Alexis Barron wins award

Alexis Barron, director of Cyber Resilience center Brainport, received a High Tech Piek Award on Thursday, January 17. She was the first to be called out as ‘Star 2019’ during the fifth annual presentation in Eindhoven. This star represents appreciation for Alexis’ contribution to the high tech and startup scene in Eindhoven.

Although the evening was entirely in Dutch, the jury report is online in English. “Knowledge is the most important thing that we have here. We would have a major problem if that ends up on the street. Barron helps companies within the region, as well as outside of it, to become more conscious of their security. And she knows that’s absolutely essential: “Look what happened in Maastricht and we are aware that this threat is real”.
